Mark E. Krugman, MD

For over two decades, Mark Evans Krugman, M.D. has been serving the plastic surgical and hair restoration needs of Southern Californians.

Dr. Krugman, whose mother was an artist and art gallery owner, completed a BA in humanities at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. Fittingly, he took his major field examinations in art history. He obtained his M.D. degree at the University of Maryland Medical School where he was a member of AOA Honor Medical Society. Internships and residencies is surgery and otolaryngology/head-and-neck surgery followed at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Later, after serving as a Major in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps at Strategic Air Command Headquarters, he joined the faculty of UCLA Division of Head and Neck Surgery. From 1974-1976, he served a residency in plastic surgery at the University of California-Irvine. He has practiced in Orange County, California since 1976 and has been performing hair transplantation since 1974.

Dr. Krugman is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and numerous plastic surgery, hair transplant and head-and-neck surgery organizations. He has authored or co-authored over 50 articles and book reviews in the medical literature.

He has been teaching appointments in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery.
