Dr. Craig L. Ziering, Founder and Medical Director of Ziering Medical. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami Beach, Florida and completed his residency in Dermatology at Ohio University/Grandview Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. Recognizing that people have quite different hair growth patterns at the back of their heads, Dr. Ziering set about to classify these patterns and then to develop transplantation techniques to recreate them. This classification system and reconstructive surgical process allows the natural restoration of your hair pattern for the bald spot on the back of your head. Today, the Ziering Whorl is revolutionizing the way back of the head baldness is treated. Dr. Ziering remains in the forefront of the latest advances in the field of Hair Restoration. Currently, Dr. Ziering is developing a new ergonomically engineered microscope designed to improve quality of follicular unit dissection.

Dr. Ziering brings 14 years of surgical experience and has performed over 10,000 hair transplant procedures. In 2006 he was recognizied as a Surgeon of the Month by Hair Tranplant Forum International. The author of many published articles on medical and surgical treatments for hair loss, Dr. Ziering is past President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. In addition, to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, Dr. Ziering is also a member of the European Society of Hair Restoration, the American Hair Loss Council, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Prior to opening his private practice, Dr. Ziering spent years as the number two executive in the world’s largest hair restoration practice.
