Melvin L. Mayer, MD

Dr. Mayer received his BA and Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He obtained his Fellowship in Surgery from Loma Linda and is a former member of the LLU School of Medicine Heart Team. Dr. Mayer completed his residency in Family Practice at Florida Hospital Medical Center and was the Chief of Staff at Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs. He trained extensively with Dr. Leavitt at Medical Hair Restoration.

Dr. Mayer has authored multiple articles in medical journals and magazines. He has presented scientific findings before the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He has also appeared on national television as an expert in the treatment of hair loss.

Dr. Mayer is a Founding Member of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. In addition to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, he is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Hair Loss Council, the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Mayer is a member of The World Hair Society, the Examination Committee for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Board of Family Practice, the American Medical Association and The North American Academy of Cosmetic and Restorative Surgery.

Dr. Mayer performs hair transplantation in San Diego, Las Vegas and Denver.
